I have a S3 and it didn't add any bulk to it. I just bought a $20 charging pad (i heard that there are cheaper ones) and a wireless charging "sticker" for the battery. The sticker fits into the OEM backplate and it fits into my existing case. The charging pad just plugs into a usb cable so it will work with a normal usb car charger.

Hey, thanks for your response. Can you link to the pieces you bought? There's one on Amazon that seems to be the most popular, but reviewers did complain about added bulk. Maybe they were just insanely nitpicky.

At the same time...my S3 is a wonderful device but the urge to upgrade is strong so I might hold out and just have it built in on the next one =)

Even at my drunkest I doubt it takes me longer than 3 or 4 seconds to plug my phone in in the dark.

You might want to cut down a bit. 😉

Nah it's exciting foreplay after the bar. I fumble around with the phone, muttering and cursing then after I finally plug it in I look to whoever I've brought home and seductively utter, "You're next." 😉

Unfortunately it looks like the Nokia charging plate and pillow are both OOS on the AT&T website. For $5 I was more than willing to give this a try.

It's my primary means of charging my Lumia 928 at home. It's nifty, but at work I don't feel it's so great that I need another wireless charger and simply plug it in.

Have wireless chargers for my 920 and my touchpad - won't go back. No more cables going bad, and ports getting loose over time, just drop it on the charger and forget about it.

Now I just need to mod a dock into my car.

To which they reply "oh great. Micro USB. May as well be wireless."

Yeah, they just canceled my order several days later. Morons can't even figure out how to handle an online store/inventory system. :|

If I can find a reliable place to buy the cover for my S5, I would go for it. The USB 3.0 plug can be a pain at night and I worry about the longevity of the flap.

Yeah the 3.0 plug is kind of a pain in the dark.

As for the wireless cover, http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...g_battery.html

TigerDirect also shows in-stock, Amazon says June 30th. Samsung store just says coming soon...

Dunno if you know this, but if you register with your phone at the Samsung store, you get a coupon offer in your e-mail for 50% off any Samsung mobile accessory under $50. I think it is still going on, but not sure. I was thinking about getting the Samsung mini wireless charging pad. Still need to get the cover though...

I purchased a qi charging pad with my nexus 4 last year because it was so cheap I figured I'd give it a try.

I use it at my desk and its hard to overstate just how convenient it is.
Its one of those things that before I used wireless charging it seemed to hold little value, but now if it was taken away it would be a feature I would be sorry to lose. Given the low cost its definitely worth trying.

Here is a link to the charger I use, its cheap, charges fast and and given no problems on my nexus 4 or my nexus 5.

My WP Nokia Lumia 920 has it built in and I love it. No more trying to figure out if I have the micro USB upside down or not. Plop the phone down and viola!

If AT&T hadn't disabled the built in wireless charging in the later Nokia phones I wouldn't still have my 920.
