Wireless card with WIN95?

Senior member
I have an old lappy - IBM Thinkpad 770 running Win95.
Does anyone know of a wireless card that will allow me to get this to "see" my WTR54GS router so that I can connect to the internet?

If not, any other suggestions?

Thanks,

I don't think any wireless will work w/ 95 cause it doesn't have the built-in control, and I dont' t recall seeing any wireless card driver working on 95.

1. A real long patch cable
2. Format and install Windows 2000

On a serious note:
is it running windows 95b? If so you could look into usb wireless adapters as well as any possible psmcia adapters that may be supported by win95.

your OS doesn't need to have "built-in control", only your drivers/config utility need to, and those are provided by the manufacturer. Just start scouring for a card that is supported in Windows95, you might be able to get PCMCIA drivers for 98 stuffed on there, but it's an iffy prospect.

Head to eBay and try to find one of the old 16bit Proxim RangeLAN-DS PCMCIA Cards, they have drivers for Win95 and it works.
