Wireless Card Utility - SMC Bundled Not Good

Hi, I bought an SMC wireless card because it was available, but the utility it has for connecting to wireless networks blows. If I find a new network, I practically have to reboot before it will connect. I've updated the drivers, no better. Are there third-party programs other than Boingo (heard it takes up a lot of RAM, possible spyware) that I can use to connect to stuff like coffee shops etc? Or more hardcore programs if available, as long as it's free. Thanks!

I use Win 2k because I don't like all the extras XP adds on, and as far as I'm aware Zero Config doesn't come with it, but I'll take a look. Any other suggestions?

It Free, try it, Internet posting "scare tactics" are not always reality.

A lot of RAM for one person, can be little RAM for others.

Spyware? If you have a software Firewall that control traffic (and you should) you would know if it Spyware. I.e. calling home too much, and you can get rid of it, or just set it to always block.

:sun:

P.S. There is a difference between Spyware and calling home. Almost all of today software has some capacity to call Home. That does not make them Spywares.
