I heard from someone that using a laptop with a wireless card with out pluging it in causes extra strain (wear) on the laptop battery. While I don't believe this has much validity, because the strain should be far less than other things like the screen or hard drive.
What draws the most current on a laptop? (I am guessing it is between screen and hard drive).
And how do other devices compare? (including the draw when a CD Burner is burning).
