Hello, Does anyone know of a Wireless B thru G Router that has a built in print server that works with Multifunction printers? I currently have a SMC Barricade and it has a serial port for Multifunction printers ? works great. The issue is that it is 11MB and I have a connection that could utilize 54MB (I am losing 2mb of bandwidth using my existing router). My existing router is also 128 WEP and I would like to be using 128 WPA.

I ordered a newer SMC Router only to find out it won?t work with Multifunction printers, which kills my little home network.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

What you have qualify for the ?Old Good Days? (The Old barricade was the best Router ever).

In to days Plastic and inexpensive (cheap) devices you will not find such good things.

I would forget about a Wireless Router with printer server and get instead a Network capable All in One.

As for Wireless, Wireless What Should I Get?

I would buy a standalone WAP and keep that router (if it's a good one, I have never used it). Probably cheaper then a multifunction printer.

I would keep it, but it also limits my ethernet connected clients to 11mb...so my 6mb down connection is being choked at just over 4mb.

it limits them to 11...or 10?

also, if your down is 6, then 10 would be fine for your clients. I don't understand the last part about 6MB down being choked to 4, as the 6MB is still the slowest point in the network (as is normal for most networks)
