There is a problem I've been dealing with for the past 9 months where computers randomly lose their ability to authenticate to our wireless network.
The message they get is "attempting to authenticate"
doing a GPupdate /force while plugged in using a wire does not fix the issue, but if you simply plug the laptop in, make sure it gets an IP and reboot, the problem is fixed (at least for a little while.)
we currently only have machine authentication enabled. I've been told other places with our same setup have no problems at all. The only difference is these other places have machine AND user authentication enabled...
Unfortunately I'm not in the correct position to fix this myself and I think my observations are falling on def ears. Am I on the right track to finding the solution?
I figured it has something to do with the machine SID. we join the machine to the networking using the wired NIC but actually USE the computer while connected with the wireless NIC.
