Wireless audio receiver for speakers, always delay, can movies be ok?

Hi,

I'm looking to alter my Win PC -> HDMI sans audio -> projector + Win PC -> 3,5mm -> speakers setup to something including a htpc of some sort and wireless audio htpc > speakers.
(The htpc will be stationed right next to the projector.)

Since there's a wifi in my flat I was looking at letting some sort of wireless (video not needed) receiver join it (together with the htpc) and connect that to my speakers and then find an sw audio player with airplay/dlna/remote speaker capabilities for the htpc OS but I've read about this one-to-several-second delay with all bluetooth and wifi receivers? Would this make watching movies on the HTPC out of the question?

If not is there some wireless audio solution you could recommend? (The speakers I use are a pair of Behringer MS40, they're supposed to have a built-in amplifier.)

Thanks in advance.

If self-bumping is verboten then I'm sorry; wasn't planning on doing it again.

Since the query may have been a bit vague I've researched a bit and narrowed down the options for sending wirelessly to my non-wireless MS40 speakers either from my Win PC or a hypothetical htpc.

A. BT compresses music and I would mostly not be playing back lossless audio files so this may not be an ideal solution, depending on the source, the fidelity of the speakers as well as my ears.. or do your views of Bluetooth music differ?

B. 1. Audioengine W3: works via radio, eh, don't think it's bluetooth or wifi. One sender, so htpc/win pc would become only playback device (the opposite scenario is the only one described from what I've gathered - one sender many receivers) but the audio quality is supposed to be better than Bluetooth.
2. An Airport Express base station connected to the speakers, acting as a receiver/bridge. Since I only mean to playback via one set of speakers this might be a good option but it depends on AirFoil or something similar for Linux I suppose since I won't be playing back using iTunes. There are different versions of AirPlay / AirTunes from what I gather, has anyone some input?
