wireless antenna pigtail???

I am trying to build a homemade antenna to boost the distance of my wireless network. I have read a lot of information online about how to make the antenna, but what I don't understand is how to go out of my access point to the can. (antenna) I have a Linksys WAP11 model access point. The connectors for the existing factory antenna are pictured here. I can't find any connectors or "pig tails" that could connect this access point to the wire that I need to connect the antenna to. Please Help!!!

Thanks in advance!

Just remember to not boost your signal so that it goes outside the range of your device or you will be playing nicey-nice with the Feds.
Although...i honestly dont think it matters anymore..Ive got an asshole down the road with a CD tower and i cant get anyone to do a thing about him even though i can hear him on my phone and speakers!

I wouldnt worry too much about that, especially if your using the default 30 mW power output on most SOHO AP's. Even if you use the Amtel controller hack, it would take a 17 dB or higher antenna to breach the 36 dBm FCC output limit. That's assuming zero loss on the transmission cable. If the hack expands the carrier band into licensed frequencies as some report, well, that's another story.

You may also want to contact HDCOM. I purchased a couple of antennas from them. One was an 8.5db omnidirectional for the WAP11 and the other a 6db gain for my Orinoco Silver pc card. The latter probably being the more useful.

They have very helpful people, and cheaper than Hyperlinktech. They have the pigtails you need.
