Wireless adapter shuts the computer off

Hey guys,
I will be grateful if you help me to solve my problem 🙂
I have a Wireless adapter - Edimax Ew67612Pln V2 pci express,
it worked nice in a PCI slot in the mother board, but after i bought a video card and moved the adapter to other PCI slot, it restarts the computer off after 15 seconds.
I could remain the adapter in his previous slot, but the problem is that the video card doesn't sit good at the second slot so i had to replace it with the adapter.
What do you think that the problem with the pci slot and the adapter?

Does the video card fit at all in the other slot? If so, try it there just to see if it makes the computer shut down the way it does when the wireless card is in that slot. If it does, then there is probably something wrong with the PCI slot itself.

Short circuit, or it could be a memory fault that it is causing (or the video card).

That said...for whatever reason, my GTX750 will NOT work in my first 16x slot on my motherboad. Machine refuses to boot. Stick it in my 2nd 16x slot and everything works wonderfully.

Though if you get fully through POST before it crunchs, that smells of an electrical issue to me.

When i replace the cards it works and i have no problem except to the fact that i can't insert any cable into the video card because of my case.

I didn't explain myself right, i meant that the computer restarts after 15 seconds again and again until i shut it off manually.

You are getting a BSOD, and windows automatically reboots the machine by default.

Try booting into safe mode, and see if that helps.

It a matter of money.

In the USA the card cost $29. So, it will be less expensive to get another card than replacing the case.

Or, the card does not fit the case because of the "silly" placing of its Antennae, may be you can find two short pigtails and extend the Antenna (it also would result in a better Wireless propagation).

Example (make sure that it is the Edimax specific plugs) -
