my discdrives and sound quit working but i got my disc drives and sound back by doing a system restore to before i installed my wireless adapter. then i was going to reinstall the adapter but i noticed this message popped up.......
Netgear Wg311 v3 802.11g Wireless PCI adapter has not passed windows logo testing to verify its compatibility with windows xp.
Continuing your installation of this software may impair or destabalize the correct operation of your system either immeadeatly or in teh future, microsoft strongly recommends taht you stop the instalation now and contact the hardware vendor for software that has passed windows logo testing.-------------------------------------------------------
in the wg311 instructions it says to hit continue anyway but i dont want the same prob. to happn again. what do u think i should do? maybe buy a new adapter n hope the same message doesnt pop up?

This simply means that Microsoft has certified the drivers. I've got several devices on my PC that don't have certified drivers. Try it again, if it causes problems again try to find different drivers. Try the manufactures website.
