Basically I have a 2 bedroom apartment and the wireless router is set up at the front of the apartment. I have power line networking going to the rear of the apartment and want to put another router back there to act as an access point so I can get Wifi in the back rooms and sun porch. What type of router/access point options should I be looking into? Main router is a Linksys e4200.

You could connect the powerline networking adapter directly to the modem, and the WiFi router to the middle/rear of the apartment. You'll have to set the powerline adapter as the DHCP server and disable DHCP on the e4200. Let us know if you have any other questions.

If you have powerline working, try going with something like this:

I've always had issues with powerline with getting them to work just right so I always just run plain AP's connected with network cabling but if your powerline is working, then go with this.

That's an interesting kit, but what I don't understand is why the extender alone costs more than the starter kit. In that case, it's cheaper to buy another starter kit and toss the powerline adapter than it is to buy the extender alone. Either way that's a great price for that kit.
