Wireless access point cant find internet

Here's my setup: Seimens DSL modem. I have a Linksys WRT54G with a USB wireless access point set up for my landlord. Mymain comp is connected via a patch cord. I have just added a second comp for me using another linksys wireless USB access point. Landlords connection works fine. Mine does not. It can find the access point but will not connect to the internet. I went through the linksys set up wizard, WEP, 128 bit encryption and have the same pass phrase as my landlords. What am I missing?

Thanks

I would start this way:

Back off all security (no WEP, no authentication) and make sure I am on a channel AT LEAST 4 channels away from the landlords AP (netstumbler works great for finding other AP's too)
use a unique SSID (unless you want to have a seamless wirless lan) and then test to see if it works. If it does, then add 128 bit wep, test again, add authentication if you want (Mac is probably all that is supported) and try again, repeat until you are at the layer security model you desire.

Thanks! I'll give it a go this evening.

My bad on the access point. The box says Linksys wireless-G usb network adapter.

As you can tell I'm a network noob.😀
