I've come to accept the fact that when I hit the talk button on my 2.4ghz phone I'll lose my wireless signal, but the "interference" with my speakers can't be normal....

Basically, any time I tax my connection beyond typical web-browsing levels, I can hear a distinct "hissing" noise coming from my speakers. When the file transfer(s) finish, the "hiss" immediately ceases. Could this be caused by the wireless signal interfering or disrupting my sound signals?

System data:
Soundblaster Live!
Altec Lansing 2100
Linksys WMP54G

Connecting to an Apple Airport.

Each speaker is wired to the subwoofer, which is plugged into my sound card. Logically, I would think that the wireless network would have to pass data through a region encompassing my speaker wiring. If this is the case, could I remedy the situation by leaving my subwoofer where it is and getting new cables? (Moving my sub around won't be a feasible option for a few weeks)

Supposedly, channel 11 is pretty good for avoiding interference with 2.4GHz phones. I set mine to 2.4 and it seems ok thus far.
