I'm having a problemsetting up a WEP key on my sony client C100 card with my Linksys WAP11 Access point.
On the Linksys WAP11 I use the pass phrase feature to generate the keys. These are 5 pairs of numbers with a space in between them.
On the sony wireless c100 client software, there is a blank for you to type in the key. However, this space is 12 characters long.
I've tried typing in the key from the linksys to the sony, but the sony software keeps saying illegal encryption or something to the effect.
How is this supposed to work?
The sony only does 40 bit encryption which is supposed to be compatible if not the same as 64 bit encryption.
help!
