The droid eris looks pretty sweet. I didn't initially pay much attention to it due to the moto droid, but after looking at it some more I actually like it a lot.

Congrats :p

same. even though its basically a rebranded htc hero, i actually prefer the eris over sprints version of the hero.

I got two phones from wirefly a number of years back, were basically free after two (huge) rebates each. Read their rebate procedures over SEVERAL times and follow the instructions to the T or you will get denied. For example each of my phones involved two rebates, and the second rebate had to be submitted at least X but not more than Y months after my plan started, and I had to include copy of most recent cell phone bill showing payment, etc.

I sent in my rebate forms certified mail, return receipt requested and I'm glad I did because they initially claimed they didn't receive them. Wirefly eventually backed down when I resubmitted with copies of the certified mail receipts and paid all the rebates owned me.

Approach with caution and document every step, with proveable verification, and you should be OK.

luckly i don't have to deal with rebates since mine had instant rebates. i'm always wary of rebates...especially with online retailers.

Biggest thing to remember with these 3rd party dealers is most have a secondary contract. If you make any changes to the account in the first 6 months, they will go back and charge your card anywhere from $150-200. This is to recoup the comission that gets charged back to them from the carriers.

You also have to watch out for "errors" they may make.
I got my GF and myself new blackberries not to long ago and they did the phone fine and quick, but there was an "error" and my plan seemed to get every service available added to it. I called them and they dicked around for a week and didn't remove the other plans I didn't sign up for, So i called them told them I have a print out of the agreement and that I was calling t-mo to have the services removed from the phones and I did. That was 4 months ago and I haven't heard a peep from wirefly since.
