Wired & Wireless LAN Not Allowing Multiplayer Gaming

I have a small switch that has a wireless access point plugged into it. I can access shared files and everything. I have two computer wired (XP and FC3) and three computers wireless (2 XP and 1 Mac). I tried playing a lan game the other day between just the three xp machines, but I had some problems. The two on wireless could join games together but the one that was wired couldn't see the games they were playing. I was trying to play Ghost Recon, then I also tried Rebuplic Commando and both games ended with the same result. The wireless access point is Netgear as well as the switch. Can anyone help with this??

Do you have the wireless access point connected to the switch using the wan port? Are there any ethernet ports on the wireless access point? Model numbers would help.

firewall maybe? Usually windows will open ports for file sharing, but you may have to open the DirectX ports used by the games.

Is your WAP capable of ethernet hookups to it, I would try either just using your wep or just using your switch. Can you get internet with all of the xp machines?

Okay I'll try to reply to all with one post. I've been using ZoneAlarm, but I had disabled it while trying the game and still can't see the other machines. The wap doesn't have any ports except the one connecting the wap to the switch. And yes, I can get internet and network shares from all xp machines.

Are you sure your "switch" is a switch? I've seen similar problems with people doing Router---> Wireless Router. So perhaps double NAT is messing with your world. Just an idea. What models of hardware are you running BTW?

I'm sure its a switch. I'm on dial-up so I never got a router. My switch is a NETGEAR FS605. My wap is a NETGEAR WG602NA.
