I had a set of turtle beach dx11, the one with the DSS box and I really liked them. I had to sell them when I moved but I am back in the market for a headset now. I would like something with surround sound that won't break the bank. I think I paid around $75 on amazon for the DX11 last time I bought them. I know the DX11 I had was simulated surround sound but when I used them in MW3 I could honestly tell what direction people were coming from compared to using the same headset without the DSS.
I prefer wired over wireless, I don't want to be changing batteries, even with rechargeable I'm sure it has to be a pain in the ass changing batteries every 20 or so hours and I don't like the idea of the headset controls being on the earcup.
From what I can gather on turtle beach it's either the
DX11 around $65 with shipping for a refurb online
DX12 around $100 with shipping for a refurb
I don't know jack about any other brand and I am not tied to turtle beach, was wondering what other options there are out there in this price range.
