Nothing too much. Just switched from my old config:

USB Cable Modem - USB to PC, Ethernet to PS3

and my new should be:

USB Cable Modem --> router -- Ethernet to PC, and Ethernet to PS3.

EDIT = reason of switching is because the cable modem gets me BSOD's everytime I max it out (full down and up speeds), always caused by Azureus or other Torrent dling.
Currently, I'm testing ethernet to PC with Azureus, so far no BSODs....

USB Cable Modem --> router

There is No such an animal in the USA Market. If your Modem does not have Ethernet port buy another modem.

Do not waste you time on looking for wire only, they do not cost less then Wireless and no new one was designed for years.

In any case, whatever is cheap/and better, can you recommend me (wire or wireless) router?

Sorry my post was not clear, there is No Router that has USB WAN port.

This company use to have one that they sold over Europe, http://www.draytek.co.uk/

It is is one of ther old Vigor Routers.

So if your Modem is EOL you need to buy a New Modem.

As for a Router this might be a good solution.

Router - http://www.ezlan.net/buffalo.html

Best current price, http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd...ctDetail.do?oid=155054

P.S. Routers are "puny" little computers, none of them would do very well under heavy long term p2 action.

p2 action? You mean p2p, right?

Thanks, is there a wired counterpart to this that's any cheaper (it's only 3 feet distance that I need, really...)? If not, do I need a wireless receiver(s) for my PC and PS3 (none have wireless readiness)?

Thanks, again.

Okay, if I buy this Buffalo wireless router, what else do I need to buy? My PS3 and PC have no wireless capabilities (what do I buy)?

Sorry for the typo I meant p2p.

You do not need to buy any thing else if you do not want to use the Wireless, the Router has 4 regular RJ-45 ports in the back.

Switch Off the Wireless radio, and use the wire part.
