wire management in an old case

I am modding an old ATX case and bringing it up to modern design standards. My current issue is wire management. There isn't much of any room behind the MB tray. So even if I cut holes in the tray it wouldn't help. So I was going to cut some aluminum and create a vertical box that ran from the top of the case to the bottom that I could hide the wires in. I would install some grommets in the box to allow the wires to exit to the MB. Probably around $20 - $30 for the metal and grommets.

But, I just had a thought. I could use wire raceway in the case. Just stick it to the MB tray and maybe cut some notches for the bigger wires like the ATX 24pin. I need to measure the wires to see if the one I linked to is big enough before I buy it. But, has anyone done or seen a picture of raceway used in a case?

An aluminum raceway from Monoprice. That would probably look better in there as the case is aluminum also. Would just need to cut some notches in the side to let the cables out.

I have used similar back in the day. Most of them have crappy adhesive, so don't expect it to stick well to metal of any kind. But if you use something more appropriate, it works well.

Decided to just make my own and put some oval grommets in it. The hinge ones I really liked, but they would either hit my GPU or drive cages if I tried to open it base on my measurements. Wasn't sure if the J channel ones would hold a big cable like the 24pin in either. It can be rather stiff and try to go where it wants to. Will see how my home made one turns out.
