Wire Dressing

I am putting together my new system this week-end. Right now I am installing the new Hardcano 13 and do not like the looks of all these fan wires. I have heard of shrink tubing and am wondering how this works and if it comes in blue and where the best place to get it is.

Also, what is the best thing to use to tie down the wires inside the case?

I used some IDE plastic retainers but they also work with just about any wire or cable(excluding ATX) inside your case.

FrozenCPU has a blue sleeving kit that will have most of what you'll need. The only thing you'll need to get is a molex pin removal tool... That is, if you plan to sleeve those wires as well. I'd get both a male and female pin removal tool, since the pins are different enough that both tools make things easier. I've found that the ones that claim to work on both types are just flat out lying about it. To remove the female ends of the fan control wires, all you need is a small, precision, flathead screwdriver. Use that to push the locking flange down and you'll be able to pull the wires back out. Just make sure you either mark, or remember which wire went into which hole.

Well, I used electrical tape and zip-ties. Hence "ghetto-rigged cooling"
