Wiping Unlocked/Jailbroken iPhone to give to another

I received a used first gen iphone as a gift, but since I'm not on any GSM carrier, I would give it to my sister. The phone is unlocked/jailbroken and has several apps on it.

I would like to wipe it clean and give it to my sister to use, but I'm not sure if I will re-lock it/lose the jailbreak on the iPhone if I do.
