WinXPpro will not load

I am attempting to load Windows XP pro on the newly built system listed below. Problem; All files write sucessfully to HDD, then the "setting up windows" yellow bar proceeds to 54% and locks. I have installed from CD rom and from the files copied to a different partition on the HDD, with the same results. Any suggestions?

Soltek Sl-75DRV2
WD 80gig HD
512 Crucial 2100 DDR ram
Radeon 7000 video card
Lite 163 DVDr
AOpen 24x CDRW

just checking are you sure it locks? as the setup time is much longer than 98.

also did you try resetting and let it try to pickup where it left off?

does bios have an update for xp at website?

have you tried setting bios to boot from cd first then loading xp that way?
