i just upgraded to WinxpPro from Win98SE

i'm a gamer and since i've switched the sensitivities have been all messed up.. in win98se under mouse in the control panel.. i had the sens turned all the way up.. is there anyway in windowsxp to make it feel the same as win98se turned all the way up? hope this isn't confusing.. just would like to know if i could make it the same..

thx

What kind of mouse do you have?

I found, at first, that the sensitivity didn't work unless I installed the drivers for my mouse. Then, after a few re-installs later, I found that I can jackup the sensitivity and it works fine using the default windows mouse driver. Go figure. :\

I use a Microsoft Wheel Optical mouse.

Try this. I think that it helps alot. Paste the below lines into some file, like "mouse.reg" and then double click that file to import to the registry.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Mouse]
"SmoothMouseXCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,a0,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,40,\
01,00,00,00,00,00,00,80,02,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,05,00,00,00,00,00
"SmoothMouseYCurve"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,66,a6,02,00,00,00,00,00,cd,4c,\
05,00,00,00,00,00,a0,99,0a,00,00,00,00,00,38,33,15,00,00,00,00,00
