WinXP64 Installation fails

I'm trying to install XP64 onto my computer:

MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
Athlon64 3000+ (S939)
1Gb RAM
200Gb ATA HDD
120Gb SATA HDD

I'm installing on the 200Gb HDD.

The installation process goes okay i.e. installs the files onto the HDD. But when the computer reboots it says Error loading operating system. Examining this hard disk from my other OS W2K reveals the necessary boot files.

Any help please.

Probably just the mobo's trying to boot from the wrong device after the Setup reboot. Which drive are you trying to use for your boot drive? Edit: n/m, you answered that 😕 Go into the BIOS to the Advanced BIOS Features menu and check that your 200GB drive is in the boot-device list.

After trying to install Win98SE on the same disk I realised it was on a BIOS/hardware level - I noticed that 200Gb HDD was using CHS and not LBA as I'm used to changed to LBA in the BIOS - No problems...
