OK. in properties / start menu / customize theres a option that says how many programs that u frequently use to be on the start menu. well i select 0.

but still every program i open has a entry on the start menu even tho i set it to 0 !!!

can someone explain this weirdness !!!!
 
I believe that if you go to run and type gpedit.msc and go to user configuration/administrative template you will find a place you can turn that, and other, features off.
