WinXP without a pagefile?

Hi,

I've heard that it is possible to run Windows XP without a pagefile (unlike any previous version of Windows), providing you have enough physical RAM, of course. I was wondering if anyone tried this out. How much RAM is "enough"? 256? 512? 1024? No matter how much it is, I think it's about time Microsoft gave users that option - it's annoying to see the system swapping memory to disk when you have so much of it!

I've been able to do it since Win95....
for XP I'd say you'd need 512. But it depends on your applications... In theroy I could do it with 128 (never had mem usage over 115...) but I don't know, I do it and I have 386 no problems

Be aware, however, that some applications will check to make sure there is a page file even though you may have enough RAM that you don't need it.
