WinXp with router locking up after 20-30 minutes?

I am running WinXP Pro with a SMC barricade router connecting my P4 with my Mac PowerPC G3, firewall on my P4 using ZoneAlarm. Initially when I started using WinXP after a small time of use, i would be unable to use Explorer due to "unable to access that web page", this problem was fixed by disabling winXP firewall and only using ZoneAlarm. All was fine for approx 5 months but now I am having the same problem. The WinXP firewall is still disabled and nothing else has changed that I can tell. Has anyone had a similar problem? Does anyone have recommendations on fixes? Thank you

I understand that the router also has a firewall, but I was under the impression that ZoneAlarm was the better of the two. In other words, will the router firewall be enough?
