WinXP WindowsUpdate SP install gone wrong

And after awhile a message pops up advising of an automatic reboot. This is for WinXP Home.

The SP download seems successful from the popup menu from Microsoft.com site and the bar for the install seems to hang half way through forever. So I rebooted and tried the Windows Update again and that's when I found out.

Tried Last Known Good and still no go. Looked on Microsoft's site for help, but couldn't find anything.

Is the Lsass.exe file corrupted? Possible to reload that file from an image?

TIA
