Hey All
Ok, my friend has me look at his 'puter, so to make a long story short, I think it received
a serious voltage spike at his house.
On his original system it would not boot-up at ALL, so after getting these parts:
1) new mobo
2) new cpu
3) new memory
now I when I try to install WInXP it just keeps go right back to the screen that says something to the affect:
"its not recommended to install WinXP on a partition that already has an operating system."
I have reformatted the original HDD and got that message, then after formatting a few times it then sunk in 🙂 that the HDD was porked too, so I go and get a spare HDD from my gear I have stored away in the garage and now I get the same message:
"its not recommended to install WinXP on a partition that already has an operating system."
what the heck is going on guys, this is a tuffie 🙂 I have a spare PS also that I probably should try but I thought I would come here first.
Thanks
