Are there any better driver support in XP for Aureal cards? at least basic support? The beta win2k drivers that were released would have sound cut in and out all the time. I would need to reboot to get sound again if I swiched to another sound application (IE, WMP to Winamp).

Does XP have any native support for Vortex II cards, or are there any drivers anywhere for them?

This is such a good sound card, and I hate to see it go to waste :( :( :(

My MX300 works GREAT under XP! Microsoft was working on the Vortex2 drivers for XP because Creative sure as hell isn't. There is a documented problem with Max Payne under Win2k, and Vortex 2 sound cards. I had those problems under 2k with the latest beta drivers, and when I switched to XP, Max Payne runs perfectly!

XP should run perfect under WinXP provided you didn't make the mistake of buying a VIA mobo.

WOOHOO, maybe I don't have to buy a new soundcard after all!
I hate the SB LIVE! I'm using right now... I switched my vortexII with my brother because I was using win2K!
here I come again, aureal :)
