winxp user profile trouble

i reinstalled winxp today on my computer, and i must have dashed through the process where i get to select that everyone may use this computer under the same profile. now everytime i start windows, it prompts a password for the administrator. is there any way i can change the settings to an all users profile so it does not prompt for a password? i checked under user's account on control panel, but could not seem to find the fix.

Delete all profiles except the Admin, then under "password," enter the current one and leave the "New password" field blank. Hope that helps

go in your registry and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\windows no\currentversion\winlogon

go to where it says defaultusername and put in the default name you want it to come up with. then go to where it says autoadmin and change the value to 1

First off you dont want to use the administrator account. Secondly you should have a back door incase something goes wrong.

so...

Log in as admin. Go to user Accounts and create a new account with admin rights and without a password. Log out....done.

Once you create an account otehr than admin, the admin account shouldnt show up on the welcome screen if you're using it. It should only show the other accounts.

If you have problems let us know.
