this file just went corrupt on me after my 9700pro locked up (said drivers went bad) so i rebooted again cuz the graphics was very glitchy... just after verifying DMI it said that i needed to reinstall this file.... can i do this without reinstalling the entire OS? If not... how can i save My Docs on the desktop? Cause you need to do a clean install from DOs am i right? Can you do an upgrade from DOS? Thanks in advance

If you can get winXP booted into safe mode you can back your data easy. I would also try sfc /scannow at a command prompt

ahh i always forget about safe mode... ok well that was succesfull and its all backed up. preciate man
