WinXP SP2- Got my 1st Blue Screen of Death

JEDI

Lifer
In all the years i've had WinXP, this is the 1st Blue screen i've ever had.

The error code has some more number after it like this:
00x0000064 (xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx)

but the computer rebooted too quickly for me to take a good look.

What caused the blue screen was me watching a DVD. there was nothing else in the background. i booted up, then popped in the DVD. 25 min into the DVD, this blue screen happened.

I'm running WinDVD v4.

Is there a way to find all the error codes that the Blue Screen generated?

And any ideas on why it happened?

JEDI, congratulations on getting your first BSOD. How did you get this far without getting the blue screen? Anyway, try to update your DVD playing software or using Windows Media player to play it and see if you still have the issue.

Disable automatic rebooting on STOP errors and see what the full screen says.

Nothinman, how do you do this? I have been getting blue screens constantly lately and I would like to know why myself...
