We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. Slipstream that link is for SP2, but I guess there is little difference in how you do it.
SP1 for XP is coming soon. The actual day is hard to say. Windowsxp.nu says it will come out Aug. 7th, but I'm not sure if that was right (I thought it would be at the end of this month).
As for win 2k or XP, it's a personal preference. They both are stable, but XP has "extra" features that you may or may not use. You really can't go wrong with a properly setup win 2k system.
I ran both operating systems on my computer and I like them both just fine. I'm using XP because I like the way all I have to do it plug in my digital camera. Then the computer finds it and I can transfer my pics over. I don't even have to use the software that comes with the camera.
