WinXP screen res question???

I installed XP last night on a spare HD just to try it out and play around with some of the new features until I get my new rig built. I really like the idea of the user accounts and want to know if there is anyway to have separate screen resolutions for them. Like mine at 1600x1200 and the wife's account at 1280x1024. Any tricks to getting this working?

Thanks

If you have separate user accounts, this is rather simple. In each account, go to Display Properties, then set things to the preferred resolution for that user.

I thought there was a way to do this too, and the MS hype would have you believe its as easy as
PGHammer said.

Maybe there is a setting in the User administration dialog to fix the resolution for a specific user?

actually, it looks like I may be wrong:

Q: How come different users can't have different screen resolutions?
I like the multi-user feature, but would like to set different resolutions for each user.

A: Sorry, that's impossible in Windows XP. Each user must have the same resolution, though just about
everything else is customizable on a user-by-user basis.

I imagine this might have something to do with the fact that a monitor has to be adjusted in most cases when going from one resolution to another. It some cases the change might be slight, in others more pronounced. This would make it necessary to log in and readjust the picture posistion and size on the monitor.

It would also be necessary, if it were stored on a user basis, to have some way of locking down what resolutions and refresh rates can be used. The last thing I want to have to do is replace monitors every month because a user doesn't unterstand there are limits to the resolution and refresh rate.
