WinXP Remote Desktop: Multiple Users?

I have set up Remote Desktop in Windows XP, but if someone is logged on at the actual remote computer, I cannot log in remotely without forcing the person logged onto the remote computer to log off first. In windows 2k multiple users could be logged on at the same time, is this possible in Windows XP? I have tried logging on using another username but the same thing occurs. Thanks for the Help

I was messing around with gpedit.msc and I thought I came across an option like that (multiple remote logins). However, MS would like look at this from a licensing perspective and may have implemented a hard limit on remote connections.

No, although a slight change is planned in this for Sp1 (to allow for the Mira stuff). Also, you didn't have this in W2K workstation, only in server, so the comparision isn't valid.

SUOrangeman where did you find the option in gpedit.msc for multiple remote logins? I looked through it and couldn't find it.

There is no such option. XP Pro only allows 1 login at a time - either local or remote, but not both at the same time. You can't change this. Unless you buy Windows 2000 Server edition or higher.

But like bsobel said we can't really complain since in Windows 2000 Pro you couldn't log in remotely at all.
