WinXP Random Restarts

I'm running WinXP Pro R2600 on an Athlon (K7) 600 w/ 256MB SDRAM, GeForce 2 GTS, and 15G Quantum Fireball HDD. After installing WinXP, along w/ the latest Detonator drivers, the computer would randomly restart. After reading the log from Event Viewer, I notice that EventSystem seems to be having some errors.

"The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing." and "The COM+ Event System raised an unexpected access violation at address 0x76B80847, attempting to access address 0x00B722A0."

The Microsoft KB has been checked, to no avail. If anyone has ever noticed similar problems or have any solutions, please share. Any help would be appreciated.

i had a very similar problem with my viper2 card and winxp...

i used safe mode to get compatible drivers and ran windows update and just basically got new everything drivers and tried to boot non-safe mode afterwards and it worked...

i know this very vague but try installing latest video drivers (for me it was a video problem)...try new 4 in 1s etc... try windows update... i like to update frequently

hope this helps somehow!!
