WinXP Pro: What happened to detailed Win2K style security???

I miss being able to specify EXACTLY which users can access which files/folders in what kind of detail level. In WinXP Pro, all I see is this silly dialog with a checkbox that says "Make this folder private." I mean come on... how are we supposed to administer anything properly? Am I missing something? Is there some way to get to that detailed security info like in Win2K Pro?

Thanks..

is this what you're looking for? if so, I dont remember how I got it. but it is definately there. you might want to look around tweakXP and see if they have it. maybe i set it in folder options? control panel somewhere? who knows 😉

YES! Thank you so much. It was under Folder Options... "Simple file sharing" was enabled.

I turned that off now..

ah, and thanks for telling me where i had found it 😉 one of my friends is also setting up xp and wanted that 😀
