winXP pro....Newsupd-not responding?

Running winXP pro and having the odd freeze, when I alt-ctl-del I get the offending program but also this newsupd as well. What is it? I have NAV running and have downloaded the latest updates for the OS.

Creative labs sound card? If so, google it. I dont want to answer your question directly because then you may never learn to help yourself and Ill have to support you next time you want to figure something increadibly searchable out
