WinXP Pro and Roaming Profiles

I've searched around on google and it seems a bunch of people have problems where WinXP Pro takes a long tim (almost hangs) at the point "Applying your personal settings..." for a minute or two, yet doesn't with WIN2K Pro. I haven't seen a solution for this yet. I seem to be having the same problem with my network, as my use profiles are all under 2MB, and my router doesn't show any traffic transferring during this time anyway.

Is my only choice to downgrade or dual-boot?

Are you using the same profile for Win2K and XP?
I've heard that there are compatibilty problems using a 2K Profile when logging into WinXP and vice-versa. What type of domain are you using?

I''m using Win2k Server with Active Directory, set as the domain controller, I have logged on to the Win2k Server with the same user as I am logging on to WinXP with. If that's the issue, another profile I have setup on the server was never logged in under win2k, only xp and has the same problem...
