Hi,
I recently asked for my company's maintnance department to make a complete reformat and reinstall Windows XP (I had WinNT). Since we have a department for that, they take care of everything.
That's all ok, but they just installed a ghost image of an installation, which has some limitations.
For instance, I asked to be Administrator of my machine (which I am), since I need to play a bit with settings. I'm Administrator, so I should be able to do everything.
The problem is, I went to add the "Administrative Tools" tab, to be able to configure some settings, for example, services.
The problem is that the folder comes empty! There must be something configured in the system to prevent a regular computer user to mess-up the system ... that's okay for normal users, but I need to work with those settings.
So, before rushing to the maintnance department, can anyone tell me if I, as Administrator, can add those menu options myself?
Thanks
