winxp pagefile optimization

os: winxp
memory: 512mb crucial ddr 2100
harddrives: 20gb wd 7200rpm C:\ and 40gb ibm 60gxp D:\

C: is my programs, os installation etc. D: is my mp3s movie storage

i have heard for best performance to put your pagefile on a different harddrive than your os installation. is this true for winxp? also should i stick with the default memory mangement? I think it put the min at 750 and max at 1500 or something like that

Spread it out across all your disks.

Definitely go for both.

If your C drive's being used it can use the pagefile on D, and vice versa.
