WinXP: NTFS vs. FAT32

While installing WinXP for the first time yesterday I came upon a screen that asked if I wanted to format my drive as NTFS or FAT. Somewhere else I was again prompted to choose between NTFS and FAT32. What's the difference...what are they?

must you ask? I've seen these 5 gazillion times on 5 gazzillion threads. I suggest your look for a winxp related website and look at their FAQs.

Why do you think we put the FAQs at the top? Why do you think I have to check my blood pressure to make sure my freaking skull doesnt explode everytime I hear this question? I mean hell, I dont use Windows and I know what the basic differences are. With 233 freaking posts under your belt (chances they are OT or HD posts) you should know about the friggin *SEARCH* feature, or maybe, just maybe took a look at the top of each and every single goshdarn forum page and saw the link to the FAQs!
