winXP monitor driver is refusing to die

hi

just did a fresh install of "XP w/ service pack 2". relavant hardware is 7900gtx and 2 samsung 940b 19" LCD monitors.

also installed monitor drivers provided by samsung. now, when i look at the driver under "monitor" on device list, there's 5 monitors - 3 default monitors drivers and 2 samsung monitors. but i've got only 2 monitors connected!

naturally, i uninstalled 3 "default monitors" but it comes back everytime i reboot the computer. also tried uninstall in safe mode(F8) but does the same thing.

how do I get rid of these default monitor drivers(3 of them!) that are refusing to die?

really have to install XP again because of this...

any tips appreciated. thankx

If anything, it's a driver bug. Complain to nVidia.

But as nweaver said, if it's working just forget about it.

Ditto, I've seen some video drivers do stuff like this.
