i have a Dell Dimension 4400 that has WinXP Home installed. After uninstalling an Oracle (for class) program, when i open up My Computer/Explorer and left double-click a drive letter to show the contents of the drive, i get an error, and says it's looking for autorun.exe (is this what's used to open up when you double click drive letters?)

right-clicking and selecting Open or Explore works though. and also once looking at the contents of a drive, double-clicking folders/files works fine.. just left double-clicking drive letters is where i get this error.

any idea how to fix this?

Do you get this error w/ any drive letter or just your optical drives? Or just it just your HDD drives? It sounds like you might have on accident, orrical was being retarded or that someone was a bastard and stuck a autorun.ini file where it shouldn't. Just to make sure, under folder options, click "show hidden files and folders" Then search for "autorun" on all of you HDD paritions and post the results
