WinXP Keyboard issue: Certain keys messed up

This is on my Acer Aspire One netbook.

Basically, these keys are not working right: u i o p j k l ; m

They display numbers, or other characters instead of what they should.

I downloaded the chipset drivers for the notebook, and it didn't help.

What should I do?

(I spilled some water on the machine a couple days ago while it was powered off, removed the battery, let it dry for 24 hours... and the keyboard was working fine since yesterday when I powered it back on)

I booted into an alternate OS, and the keys worked fine, so it's Windows.

Forget about the spill problem.

Sounds like the numlock is on.

No offence but its been a long time since i've heard someone having that issue and not realising its the number lock.
