WinXP is mixing up languages...

I have English and Japanese languages installed on my PC. Sometimes, I'll be reading something in English and a random Japanese character will get throw in there. The most common one is that it replaces \ with the symbol for Japanese yen, and earlier on a website I saw the letter s replaced with another character. Is there some way to fix this because its really starting to get annoying.

What OS are you using? If Win 2K/XP, you might try a repair install. Or remove the Japanese language pack, then reinstall it.

EDIT: Oh, DUH! You said "Win XP" in the topic line. Man, I'm dumb.

Its WinXP. I suppose I could try reinstalling the language. Thanks for the idea (should have thought of it myself). I'll give it a try and see if it works. If anyone else has any ideas/experiences with this please let me know.
