WinXP Install problems

ahh! i'm having winxp install problems

I'm in the process of installing WinXP and I keep crashing out of the installation right when it says "Press ENTER to enter Windows XP"

I get an error saying either "STOP: <some memory address>" or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_TO and it asks me to reboot. I have a Promise FastTRAK100 Raid controller, but i have the drivers for it and i click F6 at the appropriate time to install said drivers.

any suggestions?
 
I would connect your hard drive directly to the MB, load up the OS and then try again with whatever Fasttrack drivers you have...
