setup:
wireless router w/3 hardwired desktop pc's and 1 wireless laptop

problem:
yesterday the laptop could connect to the internet and access the shared documents folder of the other pc's. packet where both sent and recieved, and in the network connections folder no 'network bridge' existed.
today i ran the network setup wizard on the laptop, which runs winxp home. afterwards
-i cannot access the shared documents folders of the other pc's
-network connections folder shows a network bridge
-1394 connection, as well as every other connection is bridged
-connection status shows 0 packets recieved
-internet explorer says no connection to the internet is available

please oh please someone say this is an easy problem to fix!

I really hate that network wizard. As far as I've seen, it causes more problems than it solves.

I personally would disable all the network connections that you aren't using (meaning the 1394 ones, unless you're networking with firewire). Disable the bridges; try to completely re-set up your wireless network card from scratch. Do you have security set up on your wireless network?

unfortunately i learned to hate the wizard a little to late. still a novice to home networking so i thought it would be the best way.

i disabled 1394 and the bridge, hoping it would solve the problem. still nothing. not sure how to re-set up the card. if i do return everything to scratch, how would i be able to print from the laptop, or from a pc to the laptop.
