I'm preparing for a fresh install of XP Pro at home, and just wanted to throw up the procedure here to see if anyone thinks I missed something big. My old PQI (PowerQuest Image, for those who don't know - it's like Ghost) is pre-SP1, so I don't want to use it.
Then image the SOB so I've got a fresh disc.
Did I miss anything? Feel free to nitpick over everything.

Install XP (slipstreamed with SP1) and fully legal.
Make a pagefile - yes, I have 1 GB of RAM, but Windows loves to swap - of 1.5GB immediately and fix the size
Install the latest 4in1s, sound, Detonators
Do a Windows Update.
Slap the codec packs on for video editing (DivX, MP3, OGG, MPEG2)
Install small "critical" apps - CDRWin, WinZip, WinRAR, WinAmp, Norton.
Scandisk, and do a full defrag, using pagedefrag to make sure the swap file stays in one contiguous sequence.
Then image the SOB so I've got a fresh disc.
Did I miss anything? Feel free to nitpick over everything.
